I'm sorry Blade, honestly. I am an idiot. Come back, we need you. :( Okay, to keep this all in the open I have unintentionally offended Blade, and once it was pointed out to me I now understand why. Blade felt (rightfully so) that it was an insult to him when I asked him who should be a moderator on this temporary BBS without discussing first making him a moderator and/or admin. I certainly would have made Blade an Admin here, I just never even thought of mentioning it - I have no idea why. I truly am sorry. I am an ignoramus. I'm not a good people person (which is why I'm an IT guy and not a doctor). I have emailed Blade with an apology and I hope he forgives me. I certainly never intended any disrespect. In my defense let me explain that I setup this alternate BBS up in a hurry very late at night. I'm buried with work right now and I've been stealing time to set this up. I am not thinking everything through. In the past I have seen a half dozen BBSs go down that I was a member of since I started hanging out on a tech forum 10 -12 years ago (way back in Voodoo3D day) and every time a BBS goes down for a while I always lose track of good friends who never find the next BBS I go to. I consider you all family in a way - I would greatly hate to lose touch with you. The reality is though, that except for the occasional email contact through a trade, I don't have any emails for most of you and the same probably applies in reverse. Thus my main concern when the BBS went down for more than a few days was to get in touch with everyone I could as quickly as possible so we wouldn't lose touch with each other. I eventually realized that it would be easier to setup an alternate temporary BBS and send everyone here than to try to keep everyone in touch via email. Blade made that even easier by redirecting the PCABUSERS domains here. My hope was (and still is) that this is only a temporary BBS and that we'll all be back on the main BBS soon. As such I wasn't too concerned about setting up anything too well organized here, but I wanted to have some moderators in charge so I didn't have to worry about managing the BBS myself. I just don't have the time for it. It's taken me a while to figure out how to assign moderators and I just made everyone (that I'm aware of) a moderator that used to be one on the main BBS, Blade included. If anyone feels they should be one also, let me know. Frankly at this point EVERYONE I know here qualifies to be a moderator in my opinion. I will happily make Blade an admin here as well when I figure that out. I will also happily step down as admin here if need be. I don't want to run my own BBS - I just want to continue being a member of PCA. PCA is and always will be Blade's BBS and PCA is your home (hopefully my home as well if Blade and the rest of you will forgive me). You are all family to me, and I suppose it's normal to have the occasional family spat (I haven't talked to my own brother in 6 years). However the MOST important thing is that you all stay in touch with each other! I've seen too many good BBS friendships vanish when a BBS went down. Trade emails amongst yourselves and update them once a year. A BBS can go down any time. This backup BBS will stay online if you need it. Again, I'm sorry if I've made a bad situation worse. I don't normally get this schmaltzy but the continuation of the PCA family is important to me. There's only two BBSs I hang out on (the other is a private one with friends I know from a LAN party in Miami), and Blade has made PCA a home to me for a long time which this old fart greatly appreciates. Blade you have been our fearless leader for many many years and the place would not be the same without you. I am sure FP had no intention of taking your place and was only acting in the best interest of the community trying to get this place up to keep us all together has he explained. Lets not let this hurt this community we have all been a part of for so long.

thank u for posting what occurred,, i can understand that in your frenzy to keep us together, things were overlooked unintentionally. i can also understand how blade may be feeling right now. i have asked him to reconsider. i have also vowed to him to post a pic of myself in a bikini :shock: if he doesn't, - and i know he is gentlemen enough not to make me do it : ) don't make me out to be wrong now, blade, or i will be up shyte's creek : ) ; )

We all appreciate the excellent job that Blade has done on the PCA forum and I'm amazed at how reliable it has been over the years. The PCA Orphan forum was only meant to be a temporary measure until PCA is back up. FlyingPenguin did an excellent job of getting this forum running and I appreciate all the hard work he's put into it. I know he would be glad for Blade to take over as admin for this forum, if Blade wants to keep it as a backup. We don't want to have two forums so we would probably lock it down until we need it again. I hope we can get the main PCA forum back up and running soon and look forward to seeing Blade and the other 6000+ members posts again. Mark

I am not as active as alot of you but I consider PCA home and you all family. I hope you all can reconcile any differences and have blade come back home. Remember, we are built on our camaraderie and relationships and pride ourself on being the kinder and friendlier forum unlike (Hard forums and Anand's). We support each other each day by posting news, tidbits and providing commentary on anything and everything. Blade come back buddy, I need you, the forum needs you and dang'it the Raiders need you!! On another note, FP thanks for the commitment and hard work you have done to get us /keep us on this temp forum. I think we should appoint a secretary and have a regular backup of contact info kept in the event of a disaster like this. Perhaps have one of us create a monthly newsletter from PCA for the sake of validating all the emails and ensure they are up to date. It could only help in times like this and that way we get a chance to remind the casual member who doesn't visit us often that we are still around and are a family and remember them!

I too think this was incident was totally unintentional and hope everyone involved can realize that. I have been friends with you guys since the agn days. There are a lot of different personalities and characters her on PCA and that is one of the things that make it HOME. Please don't let something like a misunderstanding get in the way of friendship.
