What to use to download partcail files?
Hey ya'll. I'm on slow dialup here. Lot's of disconnects randomly and such. What can I use today to download with that will save the parcail file I get when disconnected and resume the download when I re-connect? I had something that worked well many years ago, forgot what it was though. This is a real pain for me, I might get half a file for some demo in 3 hours then connection is lost and so is the part of the file I already got. I'm using Firefox of course. When ever I re-start the download again after re-connecting it always starts from the begining fresh, not from 60% that was already downloaded. I was going to try a demo that says 17hrs DL time at 56K. I know there ain't a snowballs chance I'll get it at 37K before a connection is lost!

why not try a free download manager that supports resume?

Ya, kinda what I meant. Any suggestions for a good one, without junk added to it.
