Actually, this is kinda fun. Like skipping school or camping out. :D Yo Joe! reno, randy, john...beginning to feel like home. But at a motel. Hello, blade, good to see you.

FlyingPenguin3- 11-04-2007

BLADE: It's already updated the DNS to point here for me (using OpenDNS). Actually DNS changes happen within a very short time nowadays. Nothing like the 72+ hours it used to take. as I said im sick over this sorry nash Nothing to feel sorry about Dude. We appreciate everything you guys do for us.

xman1102- 11-04-2007

FP, is it working for just pcabusers.com and .net, and the pcabusers.com/forums too? Neither is working for me yet. But hopefully w0lfy will have things going soon. Hate to lose all the info we had. My last backup was about 2 weeks ago. And nash, we sure do appreciate all you have done. :) You can't control things you cannot control. *I think that made sense. Welcome to everyone else. :) Gomer says hey!

HAHA, you got to try harder to lose me than that, here I am!! Thought you were hiding eh guys. I guess no need for me to send e-mails now, I found you by trying PCAbusers.com and this one popped up instead on it's own. Thanks for the mails FP, I found them when I went to look for the conformation link for this site. Well this may curb my withdrawls for awhile, but I still need a PCA fix soon or I'll be climbing the walls.

BLADE: FP, is it working for just pcabusers.com and .net, and the pcabusers.com/forums too? Yes, even my old bookmark for the forums redirects me to here: http://www.pcabusers.com/forums/index.php?s=. Also PCabusers.net works as well. I've had to change the Nameservers on a couple of my domains recently and was amazed how fast it happened. Some DNS servers are slower to update, but I would say by tomorrow morning it should be fully updated. I setup a new domain for email for a client the other day and the darn thing was up and running in an hour. I remember waiting a week sometimes before the DNS change propogated. My how things change. CANTON_KID: HAHA, you got to try harder to lose me than that, here I am!! Thought you were hiding eh guys. Actually this is probably a plot on Blade's part to get some of you who haven't posted in a while to get involved :P

FP, A Mazin'! The dns going through has gotten quicker, but this is pretty darn quick. Not working yet for me. Doesn't really need to. Just for others who can't find us, or whom we can't contact. Thanks again. U da man. Nuby duby too. 8) Doh! Canton is in de hoose. :D  Darn, FP dun found me out. Me plot is to send me chix. Now please. Phil and Tony, come on down! 8)

Jim Z- 11-04-2007

Holy crap, I was wondering what happened. Thought the place just dropped off of the planet :(

canton_kid- 11-04-2007

Darn, FP dun found me out. Me plot is to send me chix. Now please. I'll take one. That's the problem with twins, so hard to choose. But I think I like the one Darcy sent a little better than Dopey's. That second gals nose is a bit large, but both are nice  So where's the hardware section. I want to ask why does my drive goes clack... clack... clack... and and is not reading it seems. I have a disk repair program running on it now. Wife was transferring files to her system over the network, kid was burning a disk on my system at same time, everything on the same drive, it started clack... clack.. clack... and MMJ burner was not progressing, just sat there awhile looking locked up. After I got the system shut down and restarted no more clacking, but windows explorer takes forever to show the root folders on that drive now and I never get into a folder when I try, just get the searching flashlight icon forever then abort with task manager which shows not responding. I'll see what the repair program does, so far started with 390MB in a few seconds then stuck for awhile (20-30minutes) doing a few more MB, then 2.500mb in a minute or so. Now seems almost locked up at 3,059MB for a very long time. Total time 1hr 4 minutes last the clock updated which only seems to be when MB advance, more like 2HRS I think. So far though all icons show processed, no un-recovered, no defective, no recovered. 1.02% proccessed, 98.98% not proccesed. Gee I miss PCA

canton_kid- 11-04-2007

Nice, the colors just up and changed durring my post, what a shock. I guess I like this dark gray with white better than white with black. Somebody must be awake and playing :P

FlyingPenguin3- 11-04-2007

Clack Clack Clack is not good. Copy what you can off it. Spinrite may help, but usually clack clack clack is the kiss of death. I wasn't going to go crazy setting up a lot of sections unless we're stuck here a long time. I'll setup a General Tech Questions section.

DaMaN- 11-04-2007

I am back too, man I actually had to spend some time with the missus this week and let's just say, it's a good thing I am fixed....

DaMaN- 11-04-2007

Is there anything that us members can do to help at all for the sake of the forum?

canton_kid- 11-04-2007

Thanks, that's kinda what I thought. It's only done the clack clack thing one time running so far, but it hasn't worked correct since either, but it's all been tonight. Still waruntee I think till 2010 so that should get me a new drive if needed, but I really don't want to lose the files on it. Being it's my largest drive I have not yet had anything to back it up to! 200gigs, I guess about 55 DVDs??? And that's just the stuff I know I want in a few folders. Rest of drive is kinda backups of DVDs I could redo anytime if I need to. You don't happen to have a Sata 300gig or larger for sale do you?? I'll probably buy one at the EGG later this week, unless somebody I know has a large one for sale cheaper.
